Dark Pulse: Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Dark Pulse ("the app") is made by JE Group Ltd ("we", "us"), Helensville, New Zealand. Contact: support@jegroup.app.

In short: no accounts, no JE Group servers, and your progress stays on your device. Google AdMob shows ads and collects some data to do that. The optional leaderboard and the Remove Ads purchase are handled by Google, never by us.

1. Data stored on your device

Your game progress and settings (levels completed, stars, best times per level and mode, Gauntlet bests, sound and vibration settings, and whether you've bought Remove Ads) are saved only on your phone. We can't see them. They're deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google's User Messaging Platform. Google may automatically collect and process:

Google uses this data for advertising (including personalised ads where you've agreed to them), ad measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. It's encrypted in transit. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

3. Leaderboards

The level-time and Gauntlet leaderboards are run by Google Play Games. If you're signed in, your Play Games profile name and your scores (for example level times) are sent to Google and shown publicly on the leaderboards, under Google's terms. You can play everything without signing in. You control your profile name and visibility in the Play Games app.

4. Purchases

The optional Remove Ads purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The app only receives confirmation that you own the purchase, so it can switch ads off and restore your purchase on a new device.

5. Your choices

6. Children

Dark Pulse is intended for people aged 13 and over. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, contact us.

7. Sharing

We don't sell your personal information. Apart from the data handled by Google described above, we don't share any data.

8. Retention and deletion

We don't hold personal information about you. Data collected by Google is kept under Google's policies. To delete your progress, uninstall the app or clear its data. To remove leaderboard scores, use your Play Games settings, or email us and we'll help.

9. Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (and, where applicable, the GDPR or UK GDPR) you can ask to access or correct personal information about you. Because we hold none, requests about ad or leaderboard data are best directed to Google, but we'll help where we can: support@jegroup.app. You can also complain to the NZ Office of the Privacy Commissioner or your local data protection authority.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change, and significant changes will be mentioned in the app's release notes.
