Perfect Cut: Privacy Policy
Perfect Cut ("the app") is made by JE Group Ltd ("we", "us"), Helensville, New Zealand. Contact: support@jegroup.app.
1. Data stored on your device
Your game progress and settings (levels, stars, coins, cosmetics, Daily Cut results, sound and vibration settings, and whether you've bought Remove Ads) are saved only on your phone. We can't see them. They're deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google's User Messaging Platform. Google may automatically collect and process:
- your device's IP address, used to estimate your general location;
- app interactions such as app launches, taps and ad views;
- diagnostic information such as app performance and ad-loading performance;
- device identifiers: the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID, or on iPhone the advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking) and identifier for vendor.
Google uses this data for advertising (including personalised ads where you've agreed to them), ad measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. It's encrypted in transit. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
3. Daily Cut leaderboard
The Daily Cut leaderboard is run by Google Play Games on Android and Apple Game Center on iPhone. If you're signed in, your Play Games or Game Center profile name and your score are sent to Google or Apple and shown publicly on the leaderboard, under their terms. You can play everything without signing in. You control your profile name and visibility in the Play Games app or in iPhone Settings → Game Center.
4. Purchases
The optional Remove Ads purchase is processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your payment details. The app only receives confirmation that you own the purchase, so it can switch ads off and restore your purchase on a new device.
5. Your choices
- Ad consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): when you first open the app you'll be asked whether you agree to personalised ads. You can change your choice any time in the app's Settings → Privacy options.
- iPhone tracking: the app asks permission before using your advertising identifier. You can change this in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you say no, you'll still see ads, just not personalised ones.
- Android advertising ID: reset or delete it, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads (wording varies by device).
- Remove Ads: buying it switches off banner and pop-up ads. Reward videos (for double coins, a hint or a skip) stay optional.
- You can stop all data collection by the app by uninstalling it.
6. Children
Perfect Cut is intended for people aged 13 and over. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, contact us.
7. Sharing
We don't sell your personal information. Apart from the data handled by Google and Apple described above, we don't share any data. When you use the Share button, the image or text goes to the app you choose through your phone's share sheet; we don't receive it.
8. Retention and deletion
We don't hold personal information about you. Data collected by Google and Apple is kept under their policies. To delete your progress, uninstall the app or clear its data. To remove leaderboard scores, use your Play Games or Game Center settings, or email us and we'll help.
9. Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (and, where applicable, the GDPR or UK GDPR) you can ask to access or correct personal information about you. Because we hold none, requests about ad or leaderboard data are best directed to Google or Apple, but we'll help where we can: support@jegroup.app. You can also complain to the NZ Office of the Privacy Commissioner or your local data protection authority.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change, and significant changes will be mentioned in the app's release notes.
